- Dolcetto
- Dolcetto is a black grape variety found in the Piedmont region in Italy and in some parts of France. As the name indicates the grape has pleasant almonds, licorice and red fruit
- Dozen
- Dozen is used to indicate a set of twelve things/objects. Example: dozen of wine or dozen of beer
- Drinkers
- Person who drinks alcoholic drinks as a habit or someone who drink alcohol excessively are called as drinkers
- Dry
- Dry is a wine tasting term. Used to describe wine that posses little or no sweetness. It can also be used to describe tannin or mouth feel capacity of the wine
- Durif
- Durif is a red grape variety that is a cross between syrah and prlourisn. It is used to make red wine and is found in the region of Rhone valley
- Dwindling
- Dwindling is wine that is used to describe a wine that is fading away i.e. wine that is decreasing in its strength and brightness
