Citrus Wine


  • Oranges - 5
  • Tangerine - 1
  • Grape fruit - 1
  • Lemons - 3
  • Sultanas - 2lb or 225 grams
  • Sugar - 2lb or 900 grams
  • Water - 1 gallon
  • Yeast Nutrient
  • Wine Yeast

Preparation Method

Put sugar and sultanas in a fermentation vessel and add boiling water to it.

Stir until the sugar gets dissolved.

Allow it to cool.

Squeeze the juices from all the fruits and add them to fermentation Vessel.

Then add yeast nutrient and wine yeast.

Cover and leave to ferment for five days, stirring daily.

Using a fine sieve strain the liquid into a demijohn and fit an airlock to seal the jar.

Store in a warm place and allow the fermentation to work.

When fermentation has finished, rack the wine into a clean jar and place in a cooler environment. When the wine is clear and stable siphon into bottles.
