Prunes in Red Wine
Ingredients
- Dry red wine - 2 cups
- Honey - 2 tsp
- Dried prunes - 6 cups
- Vanilla bean - 1
Method
Mix the honey with the red wine in a saucepan and boil the mixture in the medium-high flame.
Lower the flame to medium and then add the prunes and cover the mixture. Simmer for 20 minutes.
Spoon it into a heat proof container.
Add the vanilla bean to the mixture and refrigerate it for at least 9 hours or overnight.
Serve chill or reheat before serving.
Make sure that remove the vanilla bean before serving.
